We are certainly in some challenging, uncertain times right now. Although I’ve been in business of buying houses for more than 20 years and have witnessed different market cycles, this definitely feels different. Although some of the housing market activity hasn’t changed much in the last 30 days, there have been some big changes in the past week worth noting.
In the past week we have seen some of the country’s largest home buying companies, billion dollar companies, stop their iBuyer programs. I have heard of some private lenders that lend money to other home buyers, having stopped their activities also. Who knows what the next week, month, six months or year holds for the market. The one thing that I would bet on is that it’s going to be different than the past 12 months.
