211 – United Way
This has been a local resource for years, however with the recent outbreak of COVID-19, their services are helping local Lincoln seniors more than ever. If you looking for information regarding food, utilities, housing, or health care, one of the friendly operators will be happy to help you.
Senior Shopping Time
Many stores across the country are dedicating specific hours for our local seniors to shop. Hy-Vee, Dollar General, and Fareway are among some of the local chain stores offering these services. To get information regarding specific times, please call the store directly as information is changing by the minute!
The Eastern Nebraska Office On Aging
ENOA has always been a valuable resource for seniors. While their offices are closed at this time, they are implementing a “Grab and Go” meal program to help seniors in need. ENOA’s Meals on Wheels program will continue with business as usual for the frail in-home clients. The ENOA’s Rural Transportation service is only taking riders to medical appointments at this time and only allowing one passenger in the van.
Your Local Senior Center

Norfolk Public Transportation
If you are located in the Norfolk area, Norfolk is offering free rides for essential services such as getting to work or the grocery store. NPT is also picking up and delivering meals from the Norfolk Senior Center and is working out a plan to pick up and deliver pre-ordered and pre-paid groceries directly to residents as well.
With more restrictions occurring today, with more likely on the horizon, our local seniors need all the help they can get right now.
